about Correct Construction
Correct Construction was founded in 1998 by Roy “Chris” Harper in Cairo, West Virginia. After 35 years in the construction industry, Chris started this company with a greater purpose—helping young people succeed not just in construction, but in life.
While the business paused in 2002 due to Chris entering an intense five-year Millwright apprenticeship program, the vision never stopped. That experience further strengthened the foundation of Correct Construction—bringing together faith, practical training, and a passion for building up both people and projects.
Today, Correct Construction is a team of hardworking individuals committed to honesty, quality, and excellence in everything we do. With over 70 years of combined experience across a wide range of trades, we are proud to say: we don’t just build structures—we build people.

Our mission is to give young people an opportunity—not just to work, but to find purpose.
We focus on building up individuals through:
- Teaching construction skills and trades
- Instilling discipline, work ethic, and Christian values
- Sharing biblical principles, especially from the Book of Proverbs
- Encouraging spiritual growth and responsibility
We combine practical lessons in math, safety, and craftsmanship with the deeper goal of pointing young people toward Jesus. We’re not just here to make money—we’re here to make a difference.
